Concrete for living and working.
Concraft XL is where it all began for us. Seventeen years of working with concrete have taught us how to make an aesthetic concrete floor. Not an ordinary concrete floor, but one that is just as much at home in a house as in a restaurant, shop or office: warm in character, with the calm that only real concrete has.
We pour it ourselves, with a mortar developed specially for Concraft, or give an existing concrete floor a second life. Then we sand and polish it step by step to the look and sheen you have in mind.
Layer thickness
A concrete floor needs thickness to be strong. How much depends on what lies underneath. These are the minimum thicknesses we work with; the final thickness is matched to the structure.

Three finishes
Salt & Pepper
Lightly sanded: the tips of the gravel give a fine salt-and-pepper character.
Stone
Ground a few millimetres deeper, so the stones come fully into view, as in traditional terrazzo.
You choose the colour and the sheen, from matt to satin.

One floor instead of three.
Well-finished concrete is among the most beautiful floors there are. In essence it is natural stone without joints, made of sand, gravel and cement. Nothing more is needed.
In conventional construction three layers sit on top of each other. First the structural concrete slab, then a screed of sand-cement or anhydrite, then a finished floor on top, such as resin, parquet, tiles or vinyl. With Concraft XL the structural slab itself becomes the finished floor. We pour it straight to finished floor level, then polish and seal it with our own diamond method.
Building sustainably starts with leaving out what is not needed.

Frequently asked questions
Can Concraft XL be combined with underfloor heating?
Yes, and it is one of the best combinations. With Concraft XL the underfloor heating can be built straight into the concrete floor, which is then 8 to 10 cm thick or more. Concrete holds heat very well, so the floor releases warmth evenly and for a long time. And in summer, concrete feels pleasantly cool.
How thick is Concraft XL?
At least 5 cm when bonded to a concrete floor, 8 cm floating and 10 cm floating with underfloor heating. The final thickness is matched to the structure.
Can an existing concrete floor be used?
Yes. We can grind, polish and seal an existing concrete floor to give it a second life. We always check the condition of the floor first.
What is the difference with Concraft XS?
Concraft XL is real concrete of at least 5 cm. Concraft XS is a thin finish from 3 mm on an existing substrate, also for walls, bathrooms and furniture.
